As such, Dominic has a comprehensive understanding of the program, and a love for helping others actualize their recovery. In 1994, Perry separated the age groups and opened a second sober living house for men in the Torrance, California area to accommodate the older adults. New Beginning Recovery Review’s success in working with young men began to take off once the guys began living with their own peers.

New Beginning Recovery Review is here to help young men continue their recovery journey. This way, they can enjoy the benefits of sober living in a caring and supportive environment. We have homes near Redondo Beach and Los Angeles to help young men with personalized program options. Additionally, we can help them with employment or education opportunities, and ongoing recovery support. One of the primary benefits we offer our residents is there is no set limit to the length of residency. We understand the importance of allowing them to work on your recovery at their own pace.

Adult program

New Beginning Recovery Review

Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support. Irina Jodzio is the Parent Intensive and Family Group Facilitator at New Beginning Recovery Review.

  2. He has seen firsthand the work that occurs there and the benefits for these young men in perpetuating their progress in recovery.
  3. New Beginning Recovery Review assists each young man in discovering and realizing his aspirations by offering everything from a standard college track to professional certifications to vocational schools.

Ideal for those who’ve just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle. A New Beginning Recovery Review alumni, Howard went back to college and underwent CADC training in recovery. He has spoken on panels, in treatment centers, community centers, schools, with parents, students, teachers, law enforcement and mental health providers to give insight on issues that are impacting young people today. He works closely with the New Beginning Recovery Review families and the management staff, helping to keep things innovative, add additional services for the guys, and deal with all of the logistics of running the New Beginning Recovery Review programs.

Group Therapy

He is passionate about both mindfulness and psychiatry, and seeks to blend the two. Although he primarily focuses on TMS and psychopharmacology, he is trained in various modalities of psychotherapy including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. He is a clinical instructor at UCLA, and has been selected to be on the list for Southern California Super Doctors for 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, and 2015. Dr. Lichtman brings his extensive experience with addiction psychiatry to serving the young men of New Beginning Recovery Review. Being in recovery himself, he is an advocate for utilizing the 12 steps and has honed his skills at assisting clients and their families incorporate them while recognizing them as part of a comprehensive plan for recovery. Known for their strategic acumen, David excels in cultivating impactful connections within the community and driving collaborative initiatives.

Maxwell is a dedicated advocate for recovery and personal growth, deeply grateful to work for the very program that transformed his life. Through his journey, he discovered the path to manhood and now strives to guide others towards the same profound realization. Maxwell’s commitment and passion are evident in his unwavering support for those seeking a fresh start, and integration into our recovery community. Howard Barker handles all of the outreach and community engagement at New Beginning Recovery Review. He works to spread education and awareness on issues surrounding mental health and substance abuse as well as help families navigate the difficult waters of getting a loved one help.

We also partner with professionals to provide clinical services for our program participants. Plain and simple, New Beginning Recovery Review is amazing…it’s hard for me to describe in words how wonderful this program really is. i can truly say that as a mom, they have given me my son back. When he went into the program 15 months ago, he was a shell of himself, with no self esteem, no confidence and no sense of self. He was an active alcoholic who had no idea how to navigate his way through life as an adult without using alcohol to distract him.

Our family program structure is built to provide support, guidance, and education every step of the way.
